The Menace of the Rolling Tachyon

Jim Cline

McGill University

If brane-antibrane collisions were the origin of inflation, the universe is typically dominated by an exotic form of dark matter which is a rolling tachyon condensate. I will review this picture and an attempt to solve the problem by converting the tachyon energy into radiation. I will also discuss some technical difficulties which occur when inhomogeneities in the tachyon fluid are present.
