Abhee K. Dutt-Mazumder McGill First the need for relativistic approach to nuclear matter problem shall be discussed followed by a short review of mean field theory as developed by Walecka. Then I shall talk about Hartree and Hartree Fock approach to nuclear many body problem and finally vector meson propagation and different modes of collective oscillations in nuclear matter will be discussed.
