Applied Newton-Cartan Geometry

Recently, non-relativistic geometry and gravity, also known as Newton-Cartan geometry and gravity, have found interesting applications both in non-AdS holography as well as in condensed matter physics. In this talk I discuss a few properties of Newton-Cartan geometry AND GRAVITY with a special emphasis on the peculiarities that occur in the case of three space-time dimensions.
