Superconformal PSU(1,1|2) sigma models

The hybrid formalism of string theory on AdS_3 × S³ × M₄ involves sigma models on the supergroup PSU(1,1|2). The supergroup has very peculiar properties which give the sigma models a lot of structure. I will explain how to endow these models with N=(2,2) and N=(4,4) superconformal symmetry. The moduli space of these models is closely related to special fields (which are called atypical) and it includes the models with RR-flux.
