Theory HEP SeminarCovariant c-flationGuilherme FranzmannMcGillWe will discuss an extension of GR that allows a covariant variation of fundamental constants (c, G and Λ) which preserves the underlying geometrical structure, i.e., the contracted Bianchi identity, and the local conservation laws. Then, we will study the early universe puzzles in this framework and see what conditions must be satisfied for their resolution. Finally, we will be able to construct a consistent action principle for this theory and derive the equations of motion of it, which will allow us to explore a slow-roll regime similar to inflation as well other dynamics that could possibly solve the early universe puzzles.
