Gravity from symmetry

In this talk I will review recent new progress on the question what are the symmetries of gravity? And how these affect our understanding of quantum gravity? I will mostly focus of asymptotically flat spaces and describe a mechanisms by which the newly revealed symmetry groups allow us to reconstruct Einstein's equations. If time permits I will discuss some aspects of quantizations and unraveled some mysteries about a newly discovered higher spin symmetry in Einstein gravity.
