Holographic duals of conformal blocks

I will discuss recent progress in understanding 2d conformal blocks. In limits of large central charge, these encode features of entanglement and particle scattering in 3d gravity. I will discuss these connections in the context of CFTs with Virasoro symmetry, as well as those with higher spin symmetry. The latter will lead us to the entanglement functional for Vasiliev's theory of bosonic higher spin gravity.
