Theory HEP SeminarThe geometry of the quantum Hall effectDam SonChicagoBy putting the quantum Hall state into curved space, we find nontrivial constraints on quantum Hall physics coming from a local version of Galilean invariance. We find nontrivial relationships between the Hall conductivity at finite wave numbers, the Hall viscosity and the shift of the quantum Hall state.
