Properties of a non-singular bounce in Bianchi I space-times

Edward Wilson-Ewing

University of New Brunswick

For a large class of modified gravity theories that generate a bounce in cosmological space-times (and have general relativity as their low-curvature limit), the bounce in a Bianchi I space-time can be described as a Kasner transition with a very simple transformation rule for the Kasner exponents; for example, in the vacuum case the Kasner exponents transform as ki → 2/3 - ki during the bounce.
