Mallory Roberts McGill Around 80 discrete sources of high-energy gamma-rays (E > 100 MeV) have been detected so far in or near the plane of our Galaxy. A handful are known to be pulsars, a few others have possibly been identified, the vast majority remain unidentified. I'll discuss how observations across the electromagnetic spectrum are being used to find probable counterparts of the gamma-ray sources, and what new gamma-ray telescopes may see in the near future.
